Bankruptcy Clerk
Summary:




The Bankruptcy Clerk is responsible for maintaining, processing, and
documenting customer bankruptcy records and information and communicating with
Branches regarding customer bankruptcy matters.






Primary
Duties:





+ Receive and
process bankruptcy correspondence


+ Document
bankruptcy correspondence timely and properly in the Company's bankruptcy
and loan management systems.


+ Prepare
bankruptcy claims including gathering appropriate data and documentation.


+ Organize
bankruptcy claims for review and filing with the bankruptcy courts.


+ Communicate
with Branches regarding bankrupt accounts.


+ Process
bankruptcy payments


+ Other clerical
tasks related to bankrupt accounts







Education & Experience





+ High School Diploma with
minimum two years' experience in a data entry or clerical position. Prefer bankruptcy processing experience
with a financial institution or consumer finance company.


+ Associate Degree in
Business preferred.







Knowledge & Skills:




+ Strong ability to process high volume of activity.








+ Computer proficiency; Experience with bankruptcy and loan management software preferred


+ Strong, accurate data entry skill.


+ Strong, detail, analytical and problem-solving skills


+ Strong customer relations/interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

+ bility to multitask, effectively establish priorities and manage time to meet daily, monthly and yearly deadlines.

+ Ability to work effectively with all-level employees, and specifically, Branch personnel







Schedule:

This position may be full-time or part-time depending on needs of the Company. Typical business hours are 8-5. Periodic overtime may be required
