1. Database Administration and Analysis - Oversee development services and donor relation programs through management of the data information systems. Maintain current and accurate records in database to include report writing and generation, gift/pledge processing, and all additional aspects of the college's donor management software. Conduct donor management, reporting, and statistical analysis. Maintain familiarity with data sources, including internal offices, as well as external resources to include web-based search engines, and professional search services. Coordinate corporate matching gifts.




2. Prospect Research and Management - Provide support to fundraising staff for prospect research and management. Manage the college's prospect pool. Research potential funding sources and provide key data analysis on prospects. Create, maintain, and search internal and external databases and manipulate data for various uses. Update prospect information including biographical, affinity, gift, and relational information. Provide information as requested to support all development efforts.



3. Planning and Support of Division/College Programs - Oversee creation and maintenance of segmentation for solicitation and stewardship efforts. Conduct a full range of activities required to assist with the submission of grant requests, specifically corporate and foundation grants. Research and compile pertinent institutional information for existing and potential project funding. Responsible for activities required to promote scholarship program, manage scholarship funding and awards from the foundation and external sources. Act as liaison between donors, students, and faculty/staff.



4. Implement Stewardship Programs - Responsible for stewardship activities for donors at all levels. Prepare stewardship and compliance reports and monitor tracking system to ensure reporting requirements are met. Research and compile giving history and relevant information for donors and prospective donors. Manage correspondence, including thank you letters, solicitations, and stewardship pieces. Coordinate and maintain master files on all scholarships. Compile data for analysis to produce development reports. Effectively plan and coordinate special events for stewardship.



5. Other Duties - Assist with other College Advancement projects as requested


Minimum and Additional Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or computer science or combination of experience and education. At least two (2) years of experience with data base entry, report writing, alumni/client relations, fundraising, special events, and/or business development preferred. Experience with Raiser's Edge or other donor management software strongly desired. Two (2) or more years of higher education experience a plus.



Preferred Qualifications:



Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal; Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate experience and ability to conduct research through a variety of means; Knowledge and experience of fundraising and development functions; Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure; Strong computer and analytical skills, Extensive knowledge of computer systems and office equipment, including database management, report writing, and word processing. Ability to work flexible hours; some evening, weekend, and overnight travel will be required. Ability to travel the tri-county service area.
